Sennheiser EW100 G3 112-p Walkthrough

I walk you through how to setup the sennheiser G3. I take you through the menu of both the transmitter and receiver and how to connect it to your mixer.

What Is Cable Emulation?
This allows you to roll off the high in varying stages. You can emulate 4 different guitar cable capacities. This is not used in film and tv production sound.

What Is Pilot Tone?
Your transmitter will also send an inaudible tone known as a pilot tone to the receiver. The receiver detects and evaluates the pilot tone and with the Squelch function help reduce RF interference from other devices that do not have this tone.

What Is Squelch?
Squelch is a circuit function that acts to suppress the audio (or video) output of a receiver in the absence of a sufficiently strong desired input signal. Squelch is widely used in two-way radios and radio scanners to suppress the sound of channel noise when the radio is not receiving a transmission.
